    Friendly staff. Their regular coffee is what a good coffee is supposed to be, much better than Timmies or Starbucks. Their pastries too are really good.

    While shopping at Tanger today I stopped in at Van Houtte to order an Americano. What I got was the worst Americano I've ever had. It had no taste and looked like muddy water. I mentioned it to the young woman who had made it and she simply said that's how they make it. No effort to offer to make another one (like any other decent coffee house would have done) or even to say sorry. She just looked at me blankly after her pithy comment. So I left and dumped the coffee. Avoid this Van Houtte outlet, since they obviously don't know how to make an Americano and clearly don't value customer service.
