  very helpful staff. they rarely have enough cashiers on, but most of the people who work there have excellent craft and art experiences and advice.

  Clean store and well organized. Broad selection of craft items. Custom frames are also done here. Free parking, can be busy around holidays. Bright store. 8 checkouts when busy but can still have a lone line.

  While not the cheapest craft store, Michael's has pretty much anything you could want when it comes to crafting. Most sections are laid out in reasonable order, although they're not always in the same spot at every location. The art paper selection is a bit weak, but the range of modeling, knitting, scrapbooking, and jewelry making options are great. Do be advised that around Christmas the fake cinnamon smell in some spots can be overpowering! Paint selection is varried and wide ranging. Do check their website for coupons before you visit.

  Drives me nuts how they have items of the same category i.e. planner supplies, spread around different spots in the store and they keep moving things. Often low or out of stock of popular items. I hate calling the store to see if they have something, they never check a computer or scanner, they go take a quick look where they think it might be, even if they aren't really sure what the item is. Most of the staff in store however are friendly and helpful - if you can find someone. The manager is a bit unfriendly though. Prices are terrible, but I don't go unless I have a good coupon. :)
